A Word (or two) of Caution
Firstly, you might want to make better use of your investment by hiring a voice talent with a REAL British accent. There are too many voice talents out there that claim to have a British accent - but merely imitate a British accent and to the well-travelled listener, the fake accent is easy to detect. Why blemish the impression of your product or business by risking this?
Secondly, you probably don't want to use "any old" British accent. There are many options and your choice should be based on your desired end result. if you are looking for a comical cockney character (think Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady) then you should hire the talent that speaks that way with authentic conviction. However, this genre of talent WOULD NOT do much for promoting your corporate business, your elegant spa or your vacation retreat.
Thirdly, be aware that there are local and regional British accents that extend from the south coast of England to the northern glens of Scotland as well as across to lovely Wales. There are also parts of northern England where the natural local accents cannot always be easily hidden without training.
